PROPER PREPARATION AND BUILD-UP

The finish is only as good as the base beneath it. We assess the existing ground, excavate to the required depth, install and compact the correct sub-base, plan suitable falls for drainage and lay paving on a full mortar bed. Porcelain is installed with the appropriate bonding preparation. Edges, steps, cuts, channels and joints are completed as part of the agreed design. We also remove the agreed excavation and building waste.

How do I choose between sandstone and porcelain?
Sandstone offers natural variation and a more traditional character. Porcelain gives a more uniform, modern finish and is less porous. We can talk through samples, maintenance and budget during your quote visit.

Can you replace an old patio?
Yes. We can lift and remove existing paving, assess what is underneath and quote for the preparation needed for a sound replacement.

Do you handle drainage and waste?
Yes. Drainage requirements and agreed waste removal are included clearly in your written quote.

How long does a patio take?
It depends on size, access, excavation, weather and design complexity. We will give you an expected timescale with your quote.
